So the apex team released a new update for fusion (you don't need to do anything except refresh the apex fusion page) one of the features that i have been waiting for is heartbeat
Heartbeat basically tells the user if there was a power outage or if there was a network failure (heartbeat cannot differentiate between the two but notifies you to take a look because something is wrong) it monitors the connection between apex and apexfusion

How to activate
On a desktop computer
1)Go to apexfusion.com
2)log in
3)Select your apex
4)Select apex top right (has a little house icon)
5)On the bottom of that drop down menu under setup it will say heartbeat
6)Click on heartbeat
7)On the right side of the page it will say heartbeat Click on disabled
8)Select enable
9)You should see a orange cloud with a arrow on the top right click it and your all set

If using the mobile version of fusion
1)Go to apexfusion.com
2)log in
3)Select your apex
4)Select the menu icon on the top right (three lines)
5)Select apex top left (has a little house icon)
6)Scroll to the bottom under setup it will say heartbeat
7)Click on heartbeat
8)Click on disabled
9)Select enable
If the menu on the top is still showing you apex (little house icon) and your name the just select the menu button again to hide it
10)You should see a orange cloud with a arrow on the top right click it and your all set

What do you guys think of this update

There have been a lot of other updates that were just pushed out as well.

Date and time entry has been simplified; in particular, time entry.

Tours

Optional guided tours have been added to most major functions; upon first use of a function, a tour will be offered.

A new user settings configuration view for tours is available, allowing for reset or disabling of the auto-tour function.

User Settings

The user settings view has been revised to be easier to use.

Measurement

The Measurement function will now automatically remember the last test kit used for each parameter; this may also be configured in user settings.

When using a Hanna checker for Phosphate measurement, the default range used will be that of the HI736 ULR colorimeter, i.e., 0-200 ppb. Ranges provided by the HI713 colorimeter remain available.

When using a Hanna checker for Alkalinity measurement, both the HI772 (dKH) and the HI755 (ppm) colorimeters are now supported, with the HI772 used as the default.

Measurement charts now include a button, to allow immediate entry of a new measurement while viewing the chart.

Calendar

By default, upon completion of a calendar event, the completion will automatically be logged as a note in the Notes view.

This feature may be disabled on a per-event basis if desired.

Help

Many more views now have contextual help available via the button at the upper-right of the view.

A number of views now include how-to videos; as an example, see the dashboard help, where you can learn about customizing the dashboard.

Heartbeat

Heartbeat support, which will issue an alert if an Apex disconnects from Apex Fusion, is now available via the Heartbeat menu item in the Apex menu.

FMM Module Support

The new FMM module currently supports a variety of sensors and accessories, described in detail here.

NOTE: Actual flow rate for a pump will almost never be as high as the value stated on the label or in the pump manufacturer's published information. Flow rate is influenced by many factors (head pressure, plumbing, etc.), and the stated value is typically the best case scenario; reality is usually different.

Flow ranges for the four sensors offered are as follows:

Sensor Min GPH Max GPH
?" 1 12
?" 30 375
1" 100 1400
2" 300 3000

Readings displayed in the Apex Fusion dashboard as reported by the FMM and connected flow sensors have an accuracy of ? 3%.
UI Changes

The Apex List button will now appear only on the dashboard view; jumping directly to the list is still available in the Apex menu.

Input and Output
Configuration pages now have descriptive text identifying the location of each input and output on an Apex (2016) system.

The user interface has been modified in a few locations to work around an iOS bug.
Several views have been enhanced to make better use of space when viewed on systems with large screens.

To better distinguish new tiles in the dashboard unused tile bin, they will now be surrounded by a blue glow.

To better facilitate checking off Calendar events using a finger, the hit area over the 'done' checkbox in the Calendar Events list has been made larger.

While we're on the topic of fingers, entering a password using large fingers on a small phone keyboard can be annoying; a icon has been added to all password entry fields to allow for revealing the password as it's entered.
