Well since my new sump/fuge is going to be almost completely filled I'm starting to play around with ideas to stop bubbles from gushing out of the drain pipe, resulting in tons or salt creep.
I came up with three ideas to get air out of the PVC before the water exits the pipe, but I'm not sure if they would even work. Basically I'm going to use vinyl tubing as air vents before the water exits the pipe.
The air will rise up out of the tubes and the water will continue flowing down into the sump.
Would it be a problem if this was submerged?? I can easily make it so it sits on the tank rim and only the water exit is slightly submerged.
It seems like it would work but I might be over looking something.
