Start a hydroponic tomato farm in your house:D. It might be a good idea since all the tomatoes in California are frozen.

I make about 70 gallons of RODI a week, thats about 350-420 gallons of waste water:(. I am thinking about setting up a discus grow out tank with a constant water change from the RODI waste.

Im going no waste ro system..
waste way to much water and pay for water in may area..
Gets to be way to much money..

I have one of those, its call Kold-Ster. I stop using it when the company had some issues providing replacement cartridges few years back. Water in LI is not as expensive as LA so I never went back to using it. Product water is not as pure but my old tank was doing great with it.

Don't listen to newbies like that Cali_reef guy! hahaha lmao.

Cali don't discus usually need hot water? Isn't the cost of heating cold ro/di water to about 80 degrees going to offset the gain of wasting water? I say do a cold water marine tank with the excess ro/di. Better to waste tons of salt.

Im not sure you should drink the waste water. Im still trying to figure out how to put mine to use too. Ive only gotten one water bill since I bought my house and for that quarter I was not using the RODI unit. Im scared to see the new bill.

so im thinking why cant you drink the waste water ,ppl drink reg tap water ,this is a waste from 3 filter before the waste ,mean ,that waste water gets filter 3 times before its gos to waste.

it deff better then drinking reg tap water ,wouldnt you say ;)

I've read threads on RC that people DO drink the waste water. It's been through carbon filters and sediment filters... better than a brita filter...
Honestly I haven't had any, since we have poland springs.... but cmon... lake/spring water vs. filtered water????? must be just as good....

my opinion is that the ppl in my house should get at least as good quality water as my fish. it wouldnt look very good if word got out that my family only gets to drink the water that wasnt good enough for my fish.

if you have a neighbor you dont like, wait till a day below freezing and pour it all over his walkway and steps, then find a comfortable window with a good view to watch the effects.
