Hey everyone! I'm going abroad for a few weeks and I'm looking for an automatic feeder to feed my 4 clowns. I don't have a controller to use, and I'm looking for an affordable high quality feeder. Any ideas or recommendations?
I use the cheap ones from EBay without any issues. I also have the Ehiem version which fine too, just more money. On my main tank I usually have two of the cheap eBay feeding just in case one fails but never had any issues for the last ten years. I had 14 tanks at one point and that is the main reason for the cheaper feeders. Good luck!
I've had quite few of the Everyday Eheim feeder. While I like their slim design, I find that they eat up AA batteries. I also have a Aqua Chef feeder and not so slim a design but the AA batteries last 3x as long vs the Eheim.
The batteries on the new Eheim Twin Automatic Fish Feeder actually last quite a long time, but it takes 4 AA batteries and it costs about $60, so everything is twice the amount.
