Pyramid butterfly

How reef safe is a pyramid butterfly my tank is lps dominant with a few sps and zoas and clams? Will they eat the coral everyone I spoke to said they should be fine in a reef tank but would love to hear from you guys

Have a powder brown tank that picks on stuff, and a majestic angle that touches nothing, for 6 years now

I have pair and so far theyre behaving well. Only that they need more open space to swim around i have mostly sps. Some zoas anemone lps no softies

Make sure you QT them well. They come in with very bad bacterial infections. They usually don't last long. Ones from Hawaii are supposed to be much hardier

The safest butterfly you can get. They are planktivores like the Genicanthus angles which are pretty safe.
I was about to pick up a really nice one at aquarium village this weekend but passed on it since my tank is a little small.

Had to sell my pyramid butterflies. Kept going after my elegance and rare moment when it wasn't , it would irritate my bubble keeping it closed. Otherwise everything else (corals)was ignored.

I have or had numberous species of Butterflies in my reef and the Pyramid was by far the safest. As mentioned the Hawiian seems to be the hardier one.
