Cal and alk consumption come to halt ?

I've been noticing my cal and alk climb very slowly over last few months but never really had chance to change it and things where growing and doing well last week or so got few burnt tips lost a pice that was just hanging in there so I checked alk was 12 guess it slowly climbed over few months
Anyway I took off my 2 part Dosers it still wasn't dropping took off my Kalk top off and it seems to be leveling off at 11

Why would alk consumption drop like that I was dosing a lot of 2 part and topping off with Kalk

Did sps get annoyed when alk got too high and go into hibernation ?

Usually phosphate related Matt. I've had this happen before and i increase photoperiod or intensity + drop po4.
Are you carbon/bacteria dosing? Reason why I ask is because I never had burnt tips without doing so.

Nope haven't used anything at all in months and months except dosing no3 when gets low

You should try phosphate RX. I've been using that in place of GFO for months, Very clean, no side effects, and very effective.
