Hofer gurgle buster is the jam

So I was running a durso standpipe on one of my tanks for a long time and was never really happy with the sound it made. It wasn't super loud going down the overflow but there was so much air going down the drain that it made my sump boil and my filter sock would overflow with bubbles once in a while. I was using 1 1/4 pipe for the durso through a 1" bulk head with a 1" drain on the bottom side.

I decided to change it up and fry a hofer gurgle buster with 1" pipe all the way through and it's working great with my mag 7 return and is super quiet with way less air bubbles
