does anyone have a water softener system in their home for their well water?? I am moving to house with a water softener as opposed to the city water i been running through my RODI filter. Am I going to have problems or anything i should avoid???

Simple answer, no

With well water there's no types of chlorides, or fluorides that most city supplies have. So no need to run a carbon block on your ro/di unit.

Sometimes, depending on your area, it's a good idea to run a whole house cartridge filter after the softener. Typically with well water the cartridge goes after the softener. However, If the water is dirty enough than maybe run two cartridges. One big micron, like 10, before the softener, and one smaller, like 5,1, or maybe a carbon block to polish the water after softener.
