Canopy front lid support

Any have any idea or is currently using anything to support the canopy lids open??
Opening it all the way is not an option for me as my light is there.
So i was looking into gas struts or maybe a cabinet hinge that will hold the weight
By the way i have a 300dd marineland canopy
Please post pictures if possible.

arnaldo if you go to autozone and pick up a hood support(they sell them in different lengths) you can use them to support your cabinet door.

I've used this for a storage chest, I'm sure it could work for your canopy lid. Depending on weight you might have to search for the larger ones.

go to west marine[boat supply] and get a hatch prop. just a simple spring
