Yet another silly lighting question

So I've got a pendant, I've got some chain, but I need the glass for the pendant. Can I use plain old run of the mill glass or does it have to be some kind of special UV blocking glass??? Brett told me but I forgot

if it's a DE bulb you need the glass(not regular glass).

Fred, got it from Brett. It's a Reef Optix III but it just doesn't have the glass.

you need UV blocking glass. if the glass shop doesn't have it, try a picture framing store.

I bought the pendant used when I was going to go with 2 of the Reef OptixIII. Then I saw the mini lumenarcs were out. The pendant kris has has been gathering dust for months.

I'm messaging Aquarium Speciality direct to see if they have them in stock. They have them for the Reef Optix 3 PLUS, I have to find out if they carry them for the regular Reef Optix 3.
