Question Sea Hare Safe?

Can I put a sea hare in a tank with a blue spot puffer? I currently have the hare in a different tank which he thoroughly cleaned for me. I wanted to put him in my other tank with the puffer to clean it up before taking it back to the pet store, but don't know if the puffer will attack it.

Yes it will more than likely at least try to nip at the hare. Following an attack the hare will almost certainly release its defensive usually pretty toxic dye that could nuke your tank...

my butterflies picked my sea hare to death within a day.
The puffer may or may not recognize it as food, I think he goes for real meat, like shrimps, crabs, though he would go for a snail, and so hmm, a hare won't do.
I later read that the sea hare ( at least sea lettuce) gains its toxicity from the algae it eats, so if it hasn't been eating that stuff, it may be completely defenseless.
