I have a quick question about filter socks. Mine always seem so difficult to flip inside out and vice versa. Does any one use socks that are softer and easier to flip? I tried using the 200 micron mesh type sock, but I don't really care for them. thanks for looking!!
I just bought filter media cups and will use filter floss instead. I rather pay a few more bucks then deal with the maintenance and wife getting mad at me washing the socks everywhere.
7" socks are easy to turn inside out, 4" are more difficult.
I rinse them out, turn them inside out and rinse again then throw them into a covered bucket until there's 8~10 before putting them into a washing machine with bleach.
I have the 7 inch, they are still a pain. I can only imagine what the 4" are like. I need to get more. mine are 200 micron. I would try the socks and floss. You may not get small microns with ir though
