Dean that one really sucks.... as i said im working on an idea that would eliminate the food spoiling over the course of a couple of hours up to a couple of days :)...

frozen foods should be eatin quickly me personally i dont think its a good idea to let the food sit in there for a couple of hours...

Wishful thinking, but i don't think that is something very easy to do. Just stick to flakes, lol. I mean it's not that hard to go into the fridge and pull out some frozen food.

First off you would need a cooling system to keep it frozen, then a heating system to get it to dispense. Otherwise it will just stay stuck. Now think of the size of the unit you would need to accomplish this. That's why i say that it's pretty hard to accomplish.

as a side note. when I feed my fish frozen which is maybe once a week i take a cup of RO or tank water and brine shrimp net and let it defrost in the cup. Once defrosted I feed the tank with the net. For those of you who havent tried it wait until you see how brown the water is in the cup once it is defrosted. Keeping all that crap out of your tank will also help with phosphates. Of course dip the net a few times in the cup to get the rest of the stuff out (just make sure you dont lose the food while doing it.) Sorry to ramble on but I guess I would never use a frozen feeder for that reason. I do use the auto for the spectrium pellets.
