What kills crabs/shrimp/pods?

Whats that additive that will kill off all inverts in your tank like the crabs and pods, etc.? I don't have anything anymore other than a mantis shrimp, and I am trying my hardest to get rid of him. Thanks!

I think you are talking about the Interceptor treatment used to kill Acropora "red bugs". You will have to massively overdose to kill a mantis shrimp.

depending on what you want in the future copper i believe will kill inverts but will also make the tank unusable for future inverts and corals.what i would recommend is to find the rock hes in and smash it,boil it.if you take the tank apart and its rock it will equal that of using copper.good luck.

How many lbs of rock do you have? Maybe we can work something out.

about 35 lbs - I am hoping dunking each rock in freshwater for a few mins killed him, which I did during my move - he certainly did not come out of the rock like I had expected. I am hoping the corals that the rock was covered with

I wish I knew which rock he was in! There really aren't too many in my tank. Maybe he has starved - its been months since any hermits or snails lived in there as he ate them all up...

Interceptor was what I was thinking of - will that harm the rest of my tank? I would rather not add it if I do not have to- but I am getting tired of this guy...

I would have traded a smaller amount of rocks.
If you think he might have starved throw a snail or hermit in there as a test run.
