Sedra 5000

I need a little bit of help. I have a Sedra 5000 that's being utilized with a Euro Reef 6-3+ skimmer. My question is: the pump sits on the sump and makes a lot of vibration noices. Can anyone tell how can I get rid of the humming noise?

Try putting a gel pad under the pump. Kimoyo had a thread going about this, they come in different thickness.

doesn't the sedra some with a bottom omunting bracket and rubber suction cups? You shure it's not vibrating up against the side of the sump?

I have the 9500 and it came with the bracket and rubber cups - di yours?

Yes it's safe. Just make sure it's a plain old rubber one. You can also see if you can get some small suction cups from petland or something and put them in the screw mounts of the sedra. Glue them in place if you have to.

I wouldn't use an "old" mouse pad. Use a clean new one. Who knows what kind of oils you left on the mouse pad over the years.

Yup... get a new one... oils, pen ink, all sorts of things that the mouse picks up... $3 at staples is a good investment. Go with a new one.
