Refractometer Calibration

Hi Everyone,

I have a redsea refractometer, it has worked fine in the past, but now I need to calibrate it every time I use it. Has anyone ever experienced this problem before? I mean I calibrate it and then 3 hours later I need to calibrate it again. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah i have the red sea one and have the same issue.

IN my expeierence the Red Sea refractometer is poor quality it dosent hold calibratiOn well even if you drop it once. I?d recommend to go with a better refractometer, in no specific order either standard ebay brine refractometer, milwaukee digital refractometer, ?new? ice cap salinity temp tester.

Happens to mine too. I just made it a habit to calibrate each time before use.

As much as pain it is it prob a good thing that we have to calibrate each time. It only takes a few seconds and you know its correct.
