Well, I woke up today and was shocked to see my green brittle star (the reaper) sitting atop the corpse of my domino damsel which had been in my tank for 3 years and I always assumed would be eternal. She was a bully and annoying, and would make clicking noises that permeated the house until she got fed, but she will be missed. Nothing was out of whack with the water, I guess it was just her time. :frown:

RIP!

Thanks all. Don't get me wrong, I loved my damsel, but I don't think I'll be getting another one anytime soon. I think my three other fish will be happier on their own... I am surprised she died though, she's been bulletproof through the years

Sorry for your loss. I am surprised myself. You never really expect a damsel of any kind to just die without signs of stress. People use them to cycle tanks for God's sake!
