Do all Redsea aquariums have chewed up silicon in the corners?

Im worried about the integrity of the silicon and want to know if its normal

and yes all the same tank

its every corner on the tank the top and the sides can?t really see the bottom

I only saw it after it was setup and in proper light
My cabinet doors had two nicks but they said i should have inspected that since it?s damage that?s understandable but this doesn?t look right to me

I think its the spacers and after they remove them they filled it poorly
Not what i expect from a $1400 tank

Definitely not normal

Say what you will about the pricing but I have found the fit and finish on my rsm650 to be pristine. That does not look good at all. I would send those pictures to Red Sea direct. And wherever you bought the tank from.

I am so glad that the silicon work on my tank is not perfectly normal in their definition.

Even though it might be sealed properly, for peace of mind, I would never use that tank with those photos you provided.

On mine its just the top, not the sides. The side seams are perfect. The top of the glass it's a bit chewed up, and I've asked myself that same question. Upcoming 4 years later and havnt yet had a problem

If he paid with credit card, he could dispute with bank. Item must be in original condition and ready for shipping. If the seller clearly states that if the buyer signs off on delivery the purchaser is responsible from that moment on. out of luck

Provide pics of the seams themselves as I?m interested to see.

Its not damage its bad workmanship something the manafactuar is responsible for not the seller

The seams look nice and smooth
Im thinking its where the spacers were and when filled they did a very bad job at it probably trained the new guy on my tank

My RSM250 doesn't have any of that , that's pretty crazy and would drive me nuts staring at it! Good luck with that -

can you use some black silicone and go over the seams ,its really screwed up that you have to that, but if you can't return it i guess that its an alternative . you could start a petition have as many members sign it as possible and mailed it to them and see what happens. ill sign it.
