Currently I am using a standard 55g tank with baffles for my sump. It is off to the side of my 120g tank so is a bit of an eyesore. When first setting up my tank I was told to have a section for a DSB and extra live rock which now I kinda think is a waste of space. I'd like to get a smaller tank and throw it under my 120g stand. I'm thinking that a shallower sump with a larger footprint would be the best route. Ease of access will be the key. For those of you out there with a 120, do you have any brilliant suggestions for what has worked well for you in terms of sump size?
What all I plan on having in/on the sump:
Lighting
Filter sock from overflow
Pump to skimmer
Bubble trap section
Refugium section with chaeto
Possible small frag section
3 Phosban reactors with Carbon and Phosban with pumps
pump to Chiller
heaters
temp probe
pump to Calcium reactor
Return pump
Thanks,
Nate
