Hey All,

So I've been slowly chopping off all the Vermetid snails I find on rocks, frags etc as I see them, but noticed a lot of my Astrea snails have them attached as hitchhikers. Should I also chop them off these too? How quickly do they spread/reproduce? i'm guessing this could be the way they've been spreading around the tank in the first place...

I've never had a problem with them and they're a part of the ecosystem and can't help but think they're helping reduce the microbial load in a system by the way they feed. But if they really bug you, it's probably best to scrap as much of the tube off as you can, not just the portion sticking up from the rock or shell.
