Did some minor work on my nano scape last night and now my male clown is dead, female is at the surface with rapid breathing. Cleaner shrimp is dead but peppermint is fine.
-Temp accidentally raised to 81 (usually at 78.5 but cranked up the heater while i worked on the tank and forgot to lower it)
-Added an old piece of dried live rock that was encrusted with salt (shouldve rinsed in RODI)
-Salinity is perfect
-Accidentally fed more reef roids than i usually do directly into the tank (usually mix into water & baste)
-moved the mp10 from the back center to the top right
My guess is it was the salt covered rock. But salinity is perfect right now via refractometer and the corals are all open.
Anyone ever have a similar experience?
