so since i put a uv on to my system noticed my cheato is not growing like before could the uv be the cause of this plus notice im getting alot of hair algae in the refuguim i have the kessil h380

I don't think the UV would cause That. Could be that the hair algae is out competing the chaeto for nutrients causing the hair algae to grow and the chaeto to decline. Either way as long as stays in the refugium and not in the display it's all good.
I've lost chaeto before with no changes to the tank at all, doing good for a few months and then just die.

most of the cheato had slime so i took it out i cleaned out the refugium and ordered some new cheato gonna start over should i get a turbo snail and keep him there to control the algae
