500.00 dollars or better for a system thats not reliable, My buddy has the new octopuss , he spent over $500 on this system and its HORRIABLE, my opinion a tank killer, He's had it for 7 months, Let me tell why I thinks Its Garbage.
If your not to savy , youll go crazy going through the menus, Oh they have a software that helps you use you computer to program it, Ahh it use to come with a basic ver for free, not anymore, You need to pay for it , what a rip off ,
If you have anything that charges , such as a camcorder or ipod or even a doorbell, you can get interfearance from them and you'll have to buy isolation filters, also Phasing is an issue most homes have a single phase power meaning 220v two hot legs Black and red 110v each, if you have two circuits for your tank and you ran a 12/3 wire , to prevent fire the neutral can not be share on the same phase, so with that if you plan on using x-10's run 2 seperate home runs from your panel or aquadyne sells a capacitor that goes threw both phases, Allready theres way to many trouble shooting issues..
so My buddy lights never shut off last night , Its happend a couple of times, this cant be good for the fish and corals.. Oh yeah it could be your tv too I was told.. MY conclusion Garbage.. you need something more reliable, if i leave my ipod pluged in to charge my lights might not go on, or my chiller, ahh Thank but no thank you I'll stick with my Reef keeper 2 ..
