Info on drilling new tank

I just ordered a 50 gallon tank 36x18x17 Acrylic tank, I realised after they shipped it I should of had them drill out an overflow box,
I have comming an acrylic tank with no holes drilled in them ,
Where should I drill? for the least noise possiable

i drilled mine on the top of the back wall. this way your overflow box doesn't have to go all the way to the bottom of the tank(which you will have to do if you drill it on the bottom)

do you get the slurping sound ? what kind of overflows should I use?

i get a small slurping every once in a while but it doesn't bother me. i have two 1" drains and two 3/4" return through sea swirls. i'll send you the website.
