Hey MR community been a long time since I posted here. Had my tank on auto pilot (aka did nothing with it for a few years) and this is my first post since getting my tank back to where it should be. Seems my skimmer pump went bad. I poked around on the net and found some people saying the skimz pumps are rebranded Jeabo pumps. This got me thinking it might be worth looking into. Long story short it worked out for me. The pump Jeabo DCP 4000 is almost the same. The front plate with the inlet and outlet is slightly different, and the impeller isn’t needlewheel style but I was able to use the original front plate and impeller from the original pump and made it work. Ended up paying $68 for the pump instead of the $140 replacement. Here’s some pics.
