Question Recommendations for skimmers.

Can someone please recommend (from experience) a good skimmer for a 150 gallon system. thanks.

Hard to go wrong w a Reef Octopus. In sump/out and look up your recommended system size. If going for heavy bioload (fish and sps) get one rated to about 250-300

Simplicity DC240, DC controllable pump and relatively inexpensive with a 3 year warranty.

Either nyos quantum 120 or reef octopus 150. I have two reef octopus. Regal 200 on my Red Sea max 650 and an elite 150 on my Reefer 350. I love them both. But I have heard great reviews on the quantum.

Go for a Skimz Monzter - you won't regret it.

Honestly I ran an external skimmer for years after running internal.. I'd stick with internal skimmers. External skimmers are a PITA. Not much benefit in my experience for what's potentially more potential for leaks.
