Maxi-Jet PH on a CPR BackPack II

I posted a question about changing a RIO 600 PH on the BPII Skimmer to some other kind of pump. Everybody told me to use a Maxi-Jet 1200 PH but the output tube with the air line adapter will not fit the input tube on the BackPack Skimmer. How do I connect the pump? Has anyone every used a Maxi-Jet with the overflow box for the skimmer? Thank you

To hook up your MJ1200, you don't put the output piece on the pump. The pump goes on just as it looks when you take it out of the box.
this is why you need the venturi kit that slides into the input of the pump.

If you didn't get the venturi kit, don't worry. Just use the small screen cover your pump came with and poke a hole in the end. Slide the black piece of airline tubing through the hole and stop it just before it reaches the impeller. Use the air adjustment cap, your pump came with this, on the other end of the airline and there you have it.
