When I first got my Squarespot Anthias' they wouldn't eat - it's not unusual. They like Frozen Mysis shrimp. Now I have them eating just about frozen food I can get - they won't eat flake though.
I just added a Square Anthias to my tank... so far ther are NO probs. acclimating him. He swims out in the pen without being bothered by any other fish.
What are people feeding their Anthias? He won;t eat frozen brine, so I am feeding with live starting today... and I hope he weens off...
Mine ate frozen mysis after a day or two. Eventually started eating frozen brine, then prime reef, and then formula 1 & 2. When the mood strikes he'll eat prime reef flake - some days he goes right for it other days he won't. I would recommend beginning with meaty and smelly frozen foods.
