I will be traveling to Boston in Oct. for a conference and would like to see what the East Coast has to offer. Any good stores near the Back Bay area? Thanks for any info.

I tend agree with Matt. We don't have a hell of a lot to brag about.
But, here goes anyway:

-PJ's Pets in Saugus MA. (just north of Boston on RT 1)

-Lovely Pets in Quincy MA (10-15 min from Boston).

-Tropic Isle(RT. 9 in Framingham MA)

-Coral Reef Aquariums in Seakonk MA (40 min ride down RT 95 from Boston but nice quality and knowledgable staff)

-Aqua Dreams in Feeding Hills MA (2 hr hike but nice quality)

-Petco's (all over)

There is another in Fall River but the name escapes me. Someone fill in the blanks.

Just North of Boston MA (Cow Hampshire)

-Inland Reefs in Nashua NH (about 1 hr up rt 3)

-Little Shop of Pets in Hampton NH?? (about 1 hr North up 95)

Don't miss Inland Reef in Nashua! It shouldn't take you an hour unless you're going from the heart of Boston and it's rush hour.

Just to add my stuff to the list. I have only recently become interested in Reefs, I just moved and sold off all my Cichlids and am now going to try something new.

Uncle Ned's Fish Factory, Millis MA - Mostly Cichlids I never really looked at thier SW stuff. But they were nice cichlids and easy to deal with I got about $200 in Store Credit when I last moved and sold all my cichlids back to them. Very nice since I bought them for about $30 dollars and they bred.

Pet Club, Dedham MA - Thier livestock seems hit or miss but I have never found a cheaper or wider selection of new tanks.

Well...it's a bit hard for me to be objective on this since I sell to many of the shops in the area, but you guys did leave Sea World in Salem, NH off the list, and this is a place worth visiting as well. For the best advice, equipment, and tank raised livestock (mine!!) Inland Reef Aquaria cannot be beat (again difficult for me to be objective).
