Anyone keeping herds of saltwater ghostshrimps like I do? I put in adult shrimps and have been seeing small shrimps. 24hrs live food for my fishies. My softies and gorgonians has never been harrassed. I don't know about the hard corals as I do not have any.......but I doubt if there are any problems. Adult pods are too big for these ghost shrimps and I have both thriving in my refugium.
BTW, excellent scavenger, very efficient.

I would have to say cleaner shrimp because they help keep diseases under control. They Plus when they clean the fish it must feel like having their back scrathed or something to the sort.
But if you are looking for a more intruiging shrimp get a pistol because they are quite the engineers. Most are a pale brown or greenish color but there are some beautiful orange specimens.
If you are looking for color, i think blood shrimps would be your best bet, they've got a striking deep red color.
Can you keep a pistol shrimp with different varietes of cleaners....and, could you keep more than 1 cleaner (different or same species) in the same tank?
I have a pair of cleaner shrimps that breed every week and a half like clock work. They provide a nice meal for the fish. So to answer your question, yes for cleaners. Not sure about others though.

Penaeus aztecus - brown shrimp of the Gulf of Mexico. One of the species commonly found on your plate! They're quite beautiful - they start out translucent white, but slowly gain the color of the foods they most commonly eat. Mine eventually turned red. They have large silver eyes on stalks, and two long antennae. They do well in groups and frequently swim about, more than cleaner shrimp do.
