Berlin Protein Skimmers

Looking to run a 100gal system (f.o. with the possibility of going reef later on.) I'm working with a budget here, and want to know people's opinions about the Redsea Berlin Turbo Skimmers with pump. Is this going to be an adequate skimmer for this system? If not, what are some other alternatives? P.S. I don't want to spend $1400 on a EUROREEF skimmer. ;o)

I used a berlin XL on my 120, powered by a mag 7. It worked well. If your intrested in a used skimmer I will part with it. (I have a bigger tank, and bigger skimmer now)
