I need to plug a few holes in a PVC structure that I'm using as a spraybar... the easiest thing I can think of is to use electrical tape. Does anyone know if this is safe for the tank inhabitants?

I don't know the answer. But if you can take spraybar off you have many better options. Even if you can't and have to do it under water I think I would use a marine epoxy or some similar adhesive rather than tape. Just turn off the flow through the spraybar until it hardens. My opinion only.

i don't know either, but i'd suggest using silicone (aquarium sealant) instead.

a small daub of it will block the hole, but would be easy to remove later, if you want.

and you'll *know* that it's safe.

Thanks for the comments. I won't be able to remove the pipe from the water however, so I'll have to use one that works underwater. Any recommendations?

I used some electrical tape around my U tubes on my Prefilter. Its not submerged but probably gets some salt spray and that gets back to the tank. No problems noted from it.
