All-Glass PC Light Strips

Hi!

Has anyone used the All-Glass PC light strips? I have always used CSL PCs, but I need a cheap light strip for another little project (not the reef). The AG uses the German bulb right? Is the fixture decent? I saw Pet Solutions had the 24" 55 watt AG fixture for $54.99. Seems like a good deal, anyone dealt with Pet Solutions???

I have one of the All-Glass double PC lights 2 55 watts. They use the german (four pins straight across). I have had no problems with it - although the bulbs that came with it are one the yellow side - 5600K I think. I changed them to 8500K from lampsnow.com.

I've also orderd from Pet Solutions and have had no problems.

Actually the bulbs that come with the AGA PC strips are made by GE in the straight or euro pin configuration and are rated by GE at 9325K, which is like saying Ted Kennedy really tried to save his passenger when he drove off that bridge so many years ago.

They are rather warm, even pink looking bulbs, that bring out some rather attractive colors but I would replace them at the earliest possible point with the 10K straight pin bulbs from Coralife (Custom Sea Life 55W bulbs are too long to fit in some of the fixtures).
