I am currently using additives my LFS sold me. I have been testing using the Salifert test kit and can't get my calcium up past 310. And the iodine is just barely registering. The iodine test kit is very hard to read. Any suggestions on alternate products that might work better?

Not sure if you're asking about additives or the test kits. (Salifert tests are generally considered to be among the best.) A couple of points....first, be careful with the Iodine. It is hard to read the test, and you can overdose. It is a very controversial subject...lots of threads here to read on the subject. (One pretty solid point of view is not to use Lugols. I forget the details, but it caused a build-up of another chemical that is harmful.)

With respect to getting Ca levels up, what are you using now????? What is your alkalinity...they go hand in hand. Some people swear by Kent Turbo Calcium for a quick boost. I have always used bIonic two-part for Alk and Ca. It was pretty easy to bring the levels up to 12 dkH and 425-450 ppm Ca. Others swear by Kalkwasser, etc.
