Try it around an 1" above the black box in the first riser tube. That is where most people have their set.

Another way to say the same thing: The water level should be 1" from the bottom of the first riser.

The only way you will get the skimmer to work right, is to adjust it acording to youre system, be patient it will take some time for the skimmer to work the way you want it, skimmers are sensitive devices and run differently with different pumps and different setups, patients my friend, cya.

I have a bullet 2 running on an iwaki40 pump. I generally run my water level about an inch up into the tube. In other words, about an inch above the box.

With the pump you have, if you have a decently loaded system, you should get dry foam into the collection cup that way.

I just purchased a PM Bullet 2 skimmer, 200clams what a deal. I think that I have it set correctly but am not sure. What I need to know is where to set the water level in the riser tube. It is being run by a Mak4. Please help me get this right.

Thanks

Thanks Guys,

I have my wife slowly dialing it in while I am at work. I think that we may have it right, that is if I don't monkey with it.
