i have had a peice of blue xenia the mat variety now for about 2 months everything was goin fine until i noticed that the side that is in the shade because of my tank divider started to shrivel up so i moved the enitre peice so it was in the light bu didnt change height in the tank. now more of the peice is shriveled to where i only have about 25% that is normal. all perimeters appear normal at firts glance . i am running a 250mh and 2x110 uri actinics at the moment. i also have a 20 gal sump right now i am skimmerless because i am replacing the sump with an ecosystem type refugium in a few days. I dont think that that is the problem bacause i havnet had the skimmer on in about a month. any ideas???

Adding to the above questions, how long of a time period are we talking about here...over a few days? I've had my xenia shrivel up for a few days from toying with the current flow and direction. It returned to it's original condition a fews days later. You may have just shocked it by moving it.
