I was thinking about buying a 2x55watt Bright Kit bright kit, for my 29g reef tank from aquarium hobbyist supply.
is this a good kit for my setup and for my money?
BTW- its my first first (real)lighting system.
THANKS ALOT!

Not sure what make or model "Bright Kit" is, but 2x55w is sufficient to sustain some of the less demanding corals. This includes almost all photosynthetic soft corals, and a good diversity of large polyp stony corals, like open brains and bubble corals. If finances allow (now or in the future), I'd recommend 2 more 55w bulbs, or better yet, a 175-250w metal halide setup. Of course, the 2 55 watt power compacts will suffice, especially if you're new to the hobby trying to husband less demanding corals.

Remember, when it comes time to buy corals, ask around first to see if your selection(s) is appropriate for your lighting.

Good luck.
