Came home from work yesterday to find that my tank looked a little cloudy. I tested every thing and came up with nothing.
PH 8.1-8.2
Calc 410
amon 0
nitrite 0
nitrate >10
sal 1.24
I just did a water change last weekend. All of the livestock seems to be doing fine except my short tentecle plate coral is not as open as usual. The only thing that I have changed is I started dosing B-IONIC 2 part about a week and a half ago. I was already dosing for alk and calc but with other brands. It is still cloudy today. Any Ideas?

How old is the tank? Sometimes new tanks go through a bacterial bloom that makes the tank look coudy for a while. Come to think of it, old tanks can also enter this process if bacteria find the environment very favorable.

I have no hands on experience with that product so I will not comment on that.

What is your photoperiod?

My tank is 11 Months old. Never had a problem with cloudy water before. I run a 250W MH with 2 32W atinics. Total time that lights are on is 7 hours. MH are on for 6 hours. Thanks for the help
