Does anyone have any suggestions on keeping those tiny bubbles out of my display tank? I am using a rubbermaid Refugium and Sump, and I can't keep them out. I appreciate any ideas.
hehe, those microbubbles are sure hard to get rid of huh?
you need to find the source of the bubbles, which is usually the skimmer and reduce them bubbles right as they come out of the skimmer thru some sort of sponge or something similar.
Check out your output to the sump, can you run this into a container somehow that overflows ?
I have a couple of different scenarios...an ex-trickle filter, the top compartment flows into half a plastic goldfish bowl..., a refugium, the flow goes into a chopped off pop bottle..basically, trap the source of the bubbles.
I can definitly feel your pain....I have the same senerio....I think its from the skimmer too......I will try what the others are suggesting sounds like a good solution

haha salt creep and slime!
i have a refugium and a display tank. the refugium produces so much oxygen that i get a lot of little bubbles. but after the refugium's light shuts off it usually clears up. also what kind of return pump do you have and how restricted is it? if it is a big pump and it has a narrow inlet then the pump could be cavitating. if so shorten/enlarge the inlet.
