Mike,
No problem letting you know how much I spend on automating my tank since this would be a rough guess at what people would be willing to spend (given everything else is equal). I must mention that I've very happy with the Neptune Aquacontroller and would not switch to another system unless there was a compelling reason to do so (more functinality, open standards based, etc).
- base controller $279
- 7, X-10 modules $70
- X-10 transcever $30
- pH probe $65
- ORP probe $45
- Temp probe $45
- Aquanotes v2 (opt) $100
----------------------------
TOTAL $634
The Aquanotes software is optional and I only use it occationally to chart trends in pH/ORP/Temp or to edit the control program. The control software is very flexible and even allows me to have seasonal variation in lighting and temperature.
