AAAHHHH!!! As I browsed through my parents' 80 gal tank on this majestic Merry Christmas morning, I've made a horrible discovery. Four tomato clowns in the tank has little white stuff in its bodys and they eyes are swollen up cloudy! (ick?)

I pulled them out of the 80 gal tank and place them in a holding tank and will be feeding them food soaked in garlic.

Am i doing the right thing? If not PLEASE tell me. I really hate to lose these guys.

I believe that garlic is good for low levels of ich infection but wouldn't trust it to cure a full blown infection. I also have reservations that it even is ich. The eyes being swollen sounds more like an indication of bacterial infection. I'd advise putting them in a hospital tank and treating with copper, Maracyn, and Maracyn2. Finally, I've never known a tomato clown that wasn't extremely aggressive, in particular to it's own kind. When they get bigger I think you will have to prune down to a mated pair or one individual.
