I have a beautifle rock anemone that moved and decided to attach to a green button polyps. It is depriving lights for the GBP. I tried directing the PH toward the anemone. It just won't move. Anyone knows of tricks to move it. My last resort is to cut it, but didn't want to do that if there are other ways to go around the problem.

danmhippo,
since no one else is responding, I've read somewhere that to help get an anemone to move, you may have to take a powerhead separately and point it at it's base with one hand and gently "help" the base become unattached from whatever it is attached to. I would recommend using gloves, as this may take a while. When I bought my BTA from my LFS, it took quite a while for the owner to unattach it from the rock. But he was able to do it, albeit very slowly. I think the general idea is to make it uncomfortable for the anemone to stay where it is.

HTH, good luck,

Mitch

i have a rock aneome in my tank along with some other types of aneomes and they are by far the hardest to get to detatch

This wont sound good but it does work.....Take a credit card and wedge it under his base go around his edge and keep pushing it in farther until you finally get him to detatch. This seems drastic but it is the only way you willl get him to release you may scrape a small part of his foot off but he will recover in a day or two the hardest part is bring yourself do to this
