I have a ton of little white sponges that look like little barrels with a flared end. They grow out from my LR and seem to be popping up everywhere, anyone know what these are, or if they are anything to worry about?
Claw-
These sponges are very normal and often very numerous in newer systems. I had a zillion of them for the first few months, now I only have a few. They are filter feeders and won't hurt anything.
Good Luck

in fact, those sponges are a great thing. as mentioned above, they are excellent natural water filters. consider yourself lucky - wish I had some in my reef
I have had these for almost two years. When I asked what they were someone replied glass sponges. I am not sure if that is correct but they certainly seem harmless. I had many when the tank was young a little less now. They seem to like the darker areas.
