Some one in my tank bit the fleshy part out of my green brittle star about two weeks ago. The weird thing is he is still alive. Will he eventually grow his "head" back? Right now he is just 5 connected arms.

Quite probably, yes.

I have a brown serpent star that had some nasty tissue necrosis on its body, to the point where you could see its "innards"...it was written off as dead where I worked, so I took it home, gave it a couple of dips with Kent Tech D and it's fine! Body healed up nicely. Growing a missing leg back but recently lost another one!

Still it's otherwise healthy and eats like a little pig.
