what does free silica do to a tank? I just bought this sand that says warning contains free silica. It was a tropical play sand. Any one ever used sand put out by quikcrete? Its not in my tank yet
I have the quickgrete brand playsand in my refugium. I rinsed it "extremely extremly" well. But I made sure that mine did not contain silica...Most playsands are not allowerd to contain silica because it might be ingested by the kids....I also have carib sea aragonight and live sand mixed with it...
