LOA 65 watt fixtures on LI, NY

Does anyone know which Home Depot (or any other store) on Long Island that carry the 65 Watt LOA light fixtures. Every store I go to have up to the 27 watt fixtures, none carry the 65 watt. They also said that they can't special order them either.

You can find them for sale on the Home Depot web page. If I remember correctly it took a bit of searching to find them.

Thanks for your reply. It looks like Home Depot just doesn't carry them in my region. On their homepage, if I put in the zipcode for LA, CA they come up, but when I put my zip in it is not available. I'm hoping that someone on LI figured out an alternative store to buy them.

If they're shipping from the specific stores and not from a central location perhaps you can have the one in LA ship to you. As long as you're paying for the postage why should they care what the address is?

Okay, I went to Walmart tonight and they had a LOA 65 watt fixture. Not the outdoor fixture but a shop light fixture. It looks identical to the LOA #9266, the model number is LOA #6065.

This is for a refuigum that is in the basement/ It will hang about 8" above the water. The documentation says that this is NOT a "vapor proof lighting fixture", is the #9266 "vapor proof"? Do you think that it is safe to use this?

Yesterday I ordered the #9266 from homedepot.com--no problems, no hassle. They are shipping to my near central NY address from Connecticut.

livingstone, When you go to their web site and you put your zip code in, does the LOA #9266 come up in a search?

Sorry. I left out the fact that I did the search by SKU#. I enter my zipcode, select "Go", and then do the search by SKU#. It is 343177.

That's the difference, when I put my zipcode (11720) in that SKU does not come up, if I put in a different zip it does. So it basically is not available in my area. I don't understand why I can't get it shipped to me

but oh well.

I called my local Home Depot 707-552-9600 and explained the problem. The woman on the phone confirmed that they do ship requests from the website and that it shouldn't be a problem to send it to you.
