well the green scratcher part is shot again..I know I buy the cheap ones. Question anyone replace this part with something to keep from buying a whole new magnet cleaner? Just call me cheap : ) TIA Cooder

PS I know you won't believe this but the wife told me to try and replace the green cleaning part of the old one...I should her what you guys wrote...she agreed with you....next question...I'lve got salt creep on the tank that I have now...maybe replace tank with a clean 250 gallon new one? : )...thanks again
Here's something that works. Go to a grocery store and buy one of the sponges that have the white netting over it. (like white nylon mesh sleeve)its only $1.14 with tax at Publix in Florida. Cut the end and pull out the sponge. Slide the white part over your magnet for the inside of the tank. This works incredibly for magnets to use on acrylics also. I use it on my 60 acrylic hex with my Magfloat 350 and hasn't scratched at all. It will cut down the power of the magnet some though. Found that out on my 180. However, it made it perfect for my 55...alot easier to move than before.
