Congrats on the BTA's Em, there very nice, even if they are a pair of incestuous hommers. I think you could lay off the DT's for a while, lunch anyone?

In a closed system it would be difficult for there to be a fertilization and attachment without the filters or pumps having their way with them first.

Congrats on the clone.

Good Luck

Emily,

I could have used one of your boys a month ago when my female clones spawned. Your boys don't seem to be "smoking" too much - the females (11 clones in the tank at the time, but they didn't all participate) clouded my tank so much I couldn't see more than a couple of inches into it.

My BTA and Clone bro are spewing sperm tonite..

Hopefully, they will not become depressed by the fact there are no female BTA's, (I'm assuming...)
I got some MPEGS and I will work at them.

However, at the moment, I am doing a hasty water change...think that looks like a good idea at the moment.....bad anemones....

SPC, I shared some legs with them on Monday, maybe that did it

Mouse, thats a blackback bfly. She eats everything but mushrooms and anemones. The BTA's are not in my reef any more, I ran out of room, but they make a nice centre piece in the FOWLR. They have been under less light for a couple months, so I've been feeding them heavily. I have a new 175w hood coming for them soon.

Anemonebuff thanks !

Kevin, by the time I got my water change ready, the tank was completely white, and the boys were totally deflated. I thought they were going to die, but they are looking very handsome this AM.

Emily,

I waited almost 24 hours before doing a water change - wanted to watch the status of the eggs. Fish were pretty agitated, and the anemones all got antsy (and several began to wander), but the only things that really suffered were two trochus snails, which acted "stunned" for a couple of days before dying (I'd had them for 4-5 years). They were the only snails in the tank, so I can't say whether it was species-specific effect or not. Oh, that and the fact tha my GS Maroon clowns haven't gone back to spawning yet (they were spawning every 10-12 days like clowckwork before the spawning), so I'd bet your FO tank will be fine.

I've had groups of flower anemones spawn a few times, and have had settlement/growout occur.. right now I must have 50 little ones. Too bad you guys have all clones, would have been interesting to see if you had any successful growouts, especially kevin with the weak POS skimmer heh.

Nothing wrong with a little coaching. I've never had a complaint. It's in the way you do it.
