The top brace of my 125g plexi tank was cracked a year ago from what I believe to be from the heat of my 400w MH. Because of this, I raised my light hood 6" from the tank and placed a clamp on my tank to keep the crack from getting larger. The crack is about 2 inches long and only now I'm thinking of repairing it. Only problem is that this tank is not an empty one. So... I'm thinking that I could bring the water level down a few inches and just use some of that acrylic gel glue from the plastics store to mend the crack. I was thinking about using the solvent stuff for fusing acrylic together, but it would be difficult not to contaminate the aquarium! Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

Thanks,
ink
