Sometimes after the lights go out. I use a flashlight and see these tiny worm like thins swimming around. Some are orange and some are green any ideas what they are. I assume they are young creatures but wondered what they were. Any ideas?

my guess is bristle worms people used to think they were bad in reefs but now the general consenus is they are good you can probably find pictures in hitchikers section of this site.
Just to note i once found one 6 inches long in my tank when they are that big get them out. Although i think it is rare for them to get that size.

Why remove them when they are that big? No reason to. I've got plenty that are at least 6-8 inches and I've never seen them hurt anything.

There was someone here before that had a huge one. It was pretty gross, but never hurt anything.

I have a lion fish in a tank at work. Whenever you throw any shrimp in there for him the worms come out from everywhere!! It's pretty neat to watch.
